This is a very flavorful yet easy to make dinner for the whole family. No more bland and boring salmon to get your omega-3 intake. With Boudreaux T's and this simple one-sheet pan recipe you'll likely make it several times a week. Use brussels sprouts, mushroom, asparagus or whatever you feel like to side your protein packed salmon.
Is Blackened Salmon Good for You?
Absolutely! Salmon is high in protein and omega-3 fatty acids. You'll prepare it with just olive oil, seasoning and the veggies of your choice. The term "blackening" comes from the Cajun cuisine and has to do with the way the fish is cooked. The high heat of the oven or hot cast-iron causes the spices to char and create a blackened crust on the surface of the food, giving it a distinctive appearance and flavor.
